A Wonderful Stay Made Exceptional by the People

My wife, son and I changed our booking to Ocean Coral Spring just three days before departure, after learning that our original hotel was undergoing infrastructure improvements. Although we had been assured that the work would not affect our stay, as we were travelling to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary, we decided not to take the chance. Looking back, switching to Ocean Coral Spring proved to be a very good decision. Arrival & First Impressions Our anniversary was acknowledged from the outset, with a lovely anniversary cake waiting for us on arrival a thoughtful touch that immediately made the occasion feel special. Ocean Coral Spring is a large, contemporary resort with a distinctly Caribbean character combined with a modern, maritime-inspired aesthetic. The open spaces, pools, landscaping and architecture create an attractive holiday environment, and although the resort is sizeable, the different areas give you plenty of choice depending on whether you want activity, entertainment or somewhere to simply relax. Accommodation & Housekeeping Our room was spacious, comfortable and reasonably clean throughout our two-week stay. Our housemaid, Latera, deserves particular recognition for doing a wonderful job of keeping everything clean, tidy and well presented. She would occasionally leave decorative towel arrangements in the room, which were a lovely personal touch and always a joy to come home to after a day around the resort. Housekeeping is one of those services that can easily go unnoticed when everything is being done properly, but Latera's consistency and attention certainly contributed to our overall enjoyment of the accommodation. The Resort & Atmosphere Ocean Coral Spring is very much a celebratory resort. There is a lively atmosphere and plenty happening throughout the day, but what really defines the hotel is its staff. They are the heart and soul of the property and put a tremendous amount of effort into making guests feel welcome. The resort has all the ingredients you would expect from a large Caribbean all-inclusive, but it was the warmth, humour and hospitality of the people working there that transformed our experience. The reception team were friendly, humorous and consistently helpful. Whether we needed restaurant reservations, assistance with the resort app, currency exchange or general information, our enquiries were handled efficiently and effectively. A particular thank you to Angie for looking after us. Restaurants & Dining Service We found the restaurant staff hospitable and efficient throughout our stay. We were generally greeted warmly and seated quickly, including by Britany and Brittanette at Marthas. A massive thank you must go to Shane and Troxie, who provided us with excellent service. They regularly stopped by for a chat, checked that everything was going well and always noticed when our glasses needed topping up! Those small interactions made dining feel much more personal rather than simply being another all-inclusive restaurant experience. Bars & Poolside Service The bar service was one of the highlights of the resort. Whether we were at the Sports Bar, reception bar or poolside, the staff were excellent and made us feel completely at home. The pool bar team in particular provided first-class hospitality. What impressed us was the consistency of their service across our entire two-week stay. Whether it was busy or not, standards remained high. Kerrol made some great drinks and has an impressive knowledge of cocktails. He is also a very good conversationalist and clearly takes pride in what he does. Deban and Renarto produced some superb specials and always added to the atmosphere whenever they were around. Odel and Lamar you know who you are! The banter was brilliant and the service equally good. What I noticed about them, and all of their colleagues, was their ability to move effortlessly from one guest to another, adapting their approach while still providing friendly and attentive service. A special mention must also go to the ladies who looked after us so well. Nicola's sharp wit and sense of humour contributed greatly to our stay, while Latoyah's words of wisdom and conversations were both inspiring and entertaining. Big up to Britney, who was incredibly generous with her time and really looked out for us, and to Britainy, who was full of life and great fun. We also enjoyed meeting Janica and Erica towards the end of our stay. At the Sports Bar, Vanesha deserves particular recognition. Her mudslides were fabulous, and she always made sure we were well looked after whenever we visited. These ladies deserve to be celebrated. They work extremely hard while maintaining engaging personalities, humour and a genuine warmth towards guests. They are a credit to the resort. Entertainment & Activities If you enjoy an active resort, Ocean Coral Spring certainly delivers. There is entertainment from morning through to the evening, with numerous opportunities to participate or simply watch and enjoy. This is only possible because of the energy and talent of the entertainment team. Michael, aka Mr Fierce, was brilliant. His dancing, hosting skills and hospitality were exceptional. On our final day, he surprised us with a generous farewell of fruit, bubbly and music, which was a wonderful and unexpected gesture. Sabrina's aqua aerobics, dancing and singing demonstrated just how much talent there is across the team, while Jonah, aka Wings, equally brilliant, brought enormous energy, humour and personality to his hosting. Michael and his team somehow manage to maintain that level of enthusiasm day after day. Having watched them over two weeks, you begin to appreciate just how much work goes into creating the atmosphere guests experience around the resort. Excursions We also enjoyed plenty of banter with the Chukka representatives, particularly Keshanie and her colleague whose name unfortunately escapes me (possibly Judas!). They were great fun to deal with and helped add another dimension to our stay. We booked horse riding and ATV experiences through Chukka and had a fabulous time. They are certainly worth checking out if you want to explore beyond the resort. TUI Finally, our holiday was booked through TUI, and we would like to extend a huge thank you to Ashley and, in particular, our TUI representative Raquel. Raquel was superb. She assisted us with excursions, lost property, advice and general enquiries, but she was also simply a pleasure to stop and talk to. She combined professionalism with genuine warmth, humour and personality. Interestingly, when we first met Raquel, she was in the middle of a conversation with another family who were thanking and praising her profusely for something she had done for them during their stay. From that moment, I suspected we had an exceptional representative and our own experience confirmed it. She clearly takes genuine responsibility for the guests under her care and went out of her way to look after us. Overall Ocean Coral Spring gave us a fabulous two-week holiday and a memorable setting in which to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. The accommodation was comfortable, the resort attractive and lively, there was plenty of food, drink, entertainment and activities available, and the overall all-inclusive experience offered us everything we needed for an enjoyable Caribbean holiday. However, the strongest feature of Ocean Coral Spring is undoubtedly its people. Hotels can have impressive buildings, beautiful pools, restaurants, bars and entertainment, but ultimately it is the people working within them who determine how a guest remembers their stay. The staff at Ocean Coral Spring gave the resort its personality. We arrived as guests, but through the conversations, laughter, banter and genuine hospitality we experienced over those two weeks, we left feeling that we had got to know some truly wonderful people. We would happily return to Ocean Coral Spring, not simply because of the resort itself, but because of the professionalism, warmth and hospitality shown by the people mentioned above and many others whose names we unfortunately didn't catch. Ocean Coral Spring is a resort we would revisit and the fabulous people of Jamaica are a very large part of the reason why. The staff make this resort what it is, and they deserve to be appropriately rewarded for the tremendous effort they put into making guests' holidays memorable.

Great Family Vacation

This is our first time in Jamaica and our stay at OCEAN CORAL SPRING was pleasant, The property is beautiful and is well kept, the room was modern clean and it smelled nice, there is pleanty of activities for all ages, we loved the live band that plays every evening. The food was really good and fresh especially in Sakura 10/10 and La Locanda 10/10 The staff was cool especially the males.. The blue team was very entertaining the swim up bartenders ROMARIO, JAHEEM, and RAJAY were nice, funny and attentive, DERWAYNE from the lobby bar was also very nice and friendly, We had a lil accident at the beach and met JULIEN from security who was awesome along with SHELDON the security manager who is so cool and calm along with PHILLIP the Guest services manager who is very attentive and professional these men are amazing and they dealt with this stressful situation professionally and kept us calm. THANK YOU, We will definitely be visiting again very soon.
